Thomas Lee Creasy

CreasyThomasIn the early morning hours of Saturday, October 20, 2018 Heaven gained a beautiful soul. Thomas (Tom, Tommy) Lee Creasy passed from his earthly life and became one of God’s Angels. For those he leaves behind, their hearts are forever broken and they will mourn his loss deeply and immensely, as he was and always will be cherished and loved forevermore. For over 35 years, he was the loving, devoted husband of Cynthia Riggleman Creasy, who survives him. To each they would often express “You are the Love of My Life”. Survivors also include his children, whom he loved with all of his heart ~ Thomas Scott Creasy (Cereace), Brandi C. Stinnett (Shawn), Stepdaughter Andria (Nikki) Cyrus Fellers (Shawn). His Grandchildren, whom he adored, cherished, was so very proud of, and loved “To the Moon and Back”. To each and every one he was “PawPaw”. Playmate, pal, protector, but most of all, the BEST grandfather any grandchild could ever ask for. “PawPaw” did his best to attend any and all functions of his grandchildren. Each one was special and precious to him. The memories and love their PawPaw gave them will forever live within their hearts. “PawPaw’s Babies” are: Kali S. Floyd, Ashlynn, Austin and Ava Stinnett. Brady and Chandler Creasy. Tristan and Wynter Fellers. A special niece, to whom he was like a father ~ Lauren Elizabeth Murphy Wong. Other survivors include his Mother-in-Law Mae R. Surber. Sisters-In-Law Deborah R. Murphy and Tamara R. Butler. One Brother-In-Law. Mason K. Riggleman, Jr (Lynn). Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews of which he had a special bond, and all of whom loved their ‘Uncle Tom’. A beloved Aunt, Katie Robertson. Special cousins Carolyn deBernard and Glenn Revis. His best friend Mike Dorsey. Numerous cousins and other relatives. Tom participated in the “Watch Dog” program at Leesville Road Elementary School, where he enjoyed working with the teachers and students. The students loved their ‘Mr. Creasy’ and were always excited to see him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Holcomb and Ruby I. Creasy, his brother, Gerald (Jerry) N. Creasy, Fathers-in-Law Mason K. Riggleman, Sr. and Edward Lewis Surber. Brother and Sister-in-Law Roy Kent and Rhonda Sturm Riggleman. A special thank you to Carolyn, Glenn, and Mike for sitting by his bedside in his time of need. Thank you to each individual who provided care for our loved one through the years ~ Dr. Michael Valentine, Dr. Harb Rank, Dr. Kwabena Awuah, Dr. Christopher Stands, Pearson’s Cancer Center, Dr. Kenneth Saum, Dr. Clinton Beverly, and the many nurses, CNAs, and various medical staff of Lynchburg General Hospital. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18th, at the Forest Recreation Center, 1088 Rustic Village Road, Forest, VA. Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories with his family during this time.
