Talmadge Terrell Manley, 71, of Thaxton, died Saturday, September 3,2011. Born October 20, 1939 he was the son of the late Robert L. Manleyand Lillian Tooley Manley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Wesley W. Manley. Talmadge is survived by three sisters, Ida M. Smith of Big Island; Thelma M. Petty of Natural Bridge; Patria M. Johnson and husband, Nelson of Bedford; two brothers, Earl D. Manley and John R. Manley and wife, Judy also of Bedford; and sister-in-law Joan R. Manley of Big Island. Numerous nieces and nephews. Following Talmadge's wishes there will be no service or visitation. Arrangements by Burch-Messier Funeral Home, 317 W. Main Street, Bedford.
