Richard Lenz,88, of Forest, formerly of Bedford and Glen Rock, New Jersey. Born March 10, 1923 in Munich, Germany, he came to the US as a young man, graduated from NYU and pursued a career in business. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Liberty 95 and Marshall 39. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Virginia, daughters, Jo Anne Miller and husband, Jay of Forest; Jessie Taliaferro and husband, Richard of Raleigh, NC; five grandchildren; Jay Christopher Miller and wife, Meredith Lynch, Derek Miller and fiancee' Abbey Beckwith, Danielle Miller, Mary Alice Taliaferro and Richard Taliaferro. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2011 in Virginia Memorial Park with Masonic graveside rites. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Centra Health Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements by Burch-Messier Funeral Home, Bedford, 540-586-7360.
