Margaret Anne Kennedy Toms

Margaret Anne Kennedy Toms, 72, of Bedford, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 10, 2011.  She was born in Bedford on February 18, 1939 a daughter of the late Maurice Rupert Kennedy and Margaret Stella Foster Kennedy.  She was a member of Peaks Presbyterian Church.   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.  She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Clyde Howard Toms; two sons, MM1 (SS) Thomas Clyde Toms, USN Retired and wife, Carol; Terry Lee Toms and wife, Tina; her precious grandson, Michael; a sister, Mary Hannah Croft and a brother, Maurice Rupert Kennedy.  Memorials may be made to the Bedford Humane Society.

A Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday,  August 13, 2011 at the Family Cemetery behind her home on 1143 Lauralane Dr. Bedford, with Rev. Margaret Kennedy officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Burch-Messier Funeral Home, Main Street Location, 317 W. Main Street, Bedford, 540-586-7360.
