Joe Louis Creasy

Joe Louis Creasy, 73, of Bedford, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Bedford on July 28, 1938, a son of the late Joe Owen Creasy and Lillian Agee Creasy.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Roxie Katherine Creasy and his sister, Mary Jane Creasy.  He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.  Joe is survived by his children, Michael Louis Creasy; Roger Irving Creasy and wife, Denise; Wanda Gail Goff and husband, Kenneth; Sherry Lynn Creasy and Donna Jane Creasy Falls; his step-children, Betty Alice Hayden, Jack Thomas Padgett, Jr., Randolph Macon Padgett and wife, Linda; Linda Sue Welch and husband, Terry; his sister, Betty Hostetter and husband, Leon; nineteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.  Memorials may be made to the Liberty Baptist Church, 1987 Big Island Hwy, Bedford, VA 24523.  A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Templeton and Rev. Floyd Gross officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaks Church Community Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street, Bedford, 540-586-7360.
