JoAnne Arrington Reed

JoAnne Arrington Reed, 61, of Bedford died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Bedford on October 11, 1950 a daughter of Dorothy McKinney Harris and her special friend, John E. Overstreet and the late, Joe Carl Arrington. She was a member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church. JoAnne was a Special Education Paraprofessional with Liberty High School. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Edward Arrington. In addition to her mother she is survived by two sons, Ronald James Smith, Jr.; Rodger Keith Smith and wife, Beth; her companion, Roy "Mackie" Markham; her brother, Terry L. Arrington; her sister, Nancy A. Leftwich and husband, Roger; three grandchildren, Dylan, Shelby and Holland. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel with Rev. William Honeywell officiating. Burial will follow in Peaks Church Community Cemetery.
