David Wayne Ward, 56, of Bedford, died Monday. He was born in Charlottesville on Nov. 5, 1955 a son of the late Roy Ward and Ollie Ward Castin. He is survived by his wife, Wanda B. Ward, two sons, Eric Ward and Kelly Ward; a daughter, Michelle Craft; two sisters, Betty Smith and Brenda Burke; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Coyote. Memorials may be made to the Mountain Mission School, 1760 Edgewater Dr. Grundy, VA 24614. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at Christian Life Ministries.
