Dana Gene Williams

Dana G. Williams, 43, of Amherst died Monday, November 14^th, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital.  Dana was born in Westfield, MA on March 31^st, 1968.  He was employed as an Electrical Engineering Technician at Glad Manufacturing for 23 years.  Dana had a love for the outdoors where he enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, particularly with his much-loved dog, Diezel.  He was a loud and proud member of the Batteau Society.  Dana was also a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills. He was known for his lively sense of humor, his love of cooking, and his enthusiasm for helping his friends and family.  He was so much fun to be around, and in return, he found great joy in his friends and family.  Dana was predeceased by his father, Donald Williams III (“Pops”) of Chester, MA.  Dana leaves behind his mother, Sandee Williams of Chester, MA; his daughter, Brittany Williams of Hurt, VA; his two sons, Jonathon Williams of Amherst, VA and Tomas Williams of Forest, VA; three brothers, Donald Williams IV of Huntington, MA, Ronald Williams and his wife, Dianne, of Feeding Hills, MA, and Scott Williams and his wife, Jessica, of Springfield, MA; three sisters, Deana McPherson and her husband, Mark, of Granville, MA, Tracy Williams of Dover, OH, and Tiffany Reddy and her husband, David, of Easthampton, MA.   Dana also leaves behind many beloved uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins, as well as many exceptional friends.  Visitation for Dana will be held on Friday, November 18^th, 2011 from 5pm-8pm at the Whitten Monelison Chapel, 3966 South Amherst Highway, Madison Heights, VA.  The funeral service will also be held at the Whitten Monelison Chapel on Saturday, November 19^th, 2011 at 11am with a graveside committal to follow.  In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up to benefit Dana’s two minor children.  Checks should be made payable to:  Deana L.
