Clara Dean Goff

Clara Dean Goff, 60, of Big Island, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 23, 2011.  She was born in Bedford County on July 3, 1951 a daughter of the late Charlie Bell Goff and Bertha Goff Tolley.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Junior Noel, Eugene “Pete” Goff, Jesse A. Goff, Wesley D. Goff; a sister-in-law, Ruby A. Noel; two brothers-in-law, Joseph H. Hensley and George C. Whorley.  She was dedicated to her church, Chestnut Hill Freewill Baptist Church.  Clara Dean was employed by Mohawk Industries were she had many devoted coworkers.  She leaves her loving devoted family, two sisters, Barbara “Bobbie” Hensley and Erma Whorley; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Goff and Connie Goff Montgomery.  A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Chestnut Hill Freewill Baptist Church with burial following in Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.  at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut Street, Bedford, 540-586-7360
